Hot for Fridays: Hot and Bothered

Today's theme is Hot & Bothered

From "Rose of Crimson"

He caressed her shoulders, pulling down the lace. “They expect us to make love and we shall not disappoint them.”
She gasped and her face turned crimson. “You want to indulge them?”
“Why not?” He shrugged. “After all, this could be the only opportunity we have.”
A sigh left her lips, but in the next instant a brazen grin appeared on her face, confirming she wanted him. “It’s improper before we are wed, but my father won’t have any choice if you ruin me. I waited years for this and those two shameless hussies should not be the only ones who will get their dose of their man tonight.”
“Making love to me will not ruin you, only make you better.” He cupped her face in both hands, brushed his thumb over her lips then crushed his mouth to hers. His tongue explored her soft and warm mouth. He teased her by plunging deep until her body tightened against his. She reached for him, snaked her arms around his neck, coaxing a groan out of him. He lowered his hands to the small of her back, pulling on the bodice of her dress, leaving it hanging loose on her waist.
She withdrew and gasped covering her breasts. “I’m like a tavern wench.”
“You’re nothing of the sort.” He cupped her nape and urged her back to his lips, while he struggled to step out of his boots. His feet rejoiced once freed from the stiff leather wear.
She returned his kiss and slipped her hands under his shirt. To his amazement, she pulled his tunic up and over his head, then glided her hand over his bare chest.
“So big, firm, and smooth.” Her whisper was husky with desire.
Each of her kisses ignited white sparks behind his closed lids. She tugged on the waistband of his breeches. He covered her small hand with his large one and helped her undo the knot. The pressure on his groin eased as the garment slid from his waist and legs. He crushed her to his chest. She arched against him, and their hips thrust. A fierce ache built deep in his gut.
He scooped her in his arms, and she gave a small shriek. “Oh my God, Miles, loving you freely is so beautiful.”
“I told you the riches don’t matter if we’re not free.” The bed squeaked as soon as he lowered her to the straw filled mattress.

KATE ROKOV‘s grades are plummeting. She needs to get the voice out of her head or she will flunk her finals.
MATTHIAS ZRIN, a three centuries old immortal, born into an aristocratic family as Miles Rušinić, is enthralled with Kate. It is his voice preventing Kate from sleeping and her ignorance is testing his limits. He wants her to write down his story to settle his wife’s earthbound spirit. His tragic love story has become Kate’s obsession since fifth grade during her summer trip to Rušinić castle.
Their coming together settles the old spirit and breaks an ancient curse, and in doing so, a flame spanning over three centuries reignites and burns with wild desire. In this tale of two life times and desire versus emotional need, both know some dreams will have to wait for the right time, but the magic between them is impossible to withstand.
